Who we are
Quigley Systems Ltd is the controller of the personal data described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17449485. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. For any privacy question, email enquiries@quigleysystems.co.uk.
What we collect
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. It has no forms.
When you email us, we receive your name, your email address and anything you include in your message.
When you visit the website, our host records technical request data, such as your IP address, to keep the service secure.
We may contact people at businesses that we think can use our services. For this, we keep the person's name, job title, business name, business email address, business phone number and business postal address. We also record where we found these details and the date.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To prepare a proposal or quote that you ask for. Our lawful basis is to take steps, at your request, before we enter into a contract.
- To keep the website secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the service.
- To tell businesses about our services (business-to-business direct marketing). Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in finding new clients. We have written an assessment of this interest against your rights. We contact you only about services that relate to your work.
We do not sell your data. We do not use bulk-mail tools. We do not add you to a newsletter list.
If we contacted you about our services
We may contact you by email, by phone or by post.
We find your details in public business sources: your organisation's own website, the Companies House register, and other public business directories. We do not buy contact lists.
We email only addresses on a business's own domain. We email limited companies and LLPs only. We do not email sole traders or partnerships; we may write to them by post instead.
Before we call, we check the number against the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and the Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS). We do not call a number that is on either register.
You can tell us to stop at any time. You do not need to give a reason. Reply "stop" to any email from us, tell us during a call, or email enquiries@quigleysystems.co.uk. We then put your details on our do-not-contact list and we do not contact you again for marketing.
Who else handles it
- Our email provider keeps the main copy of email data in the EU, and a replica and backups in the US. Service logs and diagnostic systems are also in the US.
- Our website host records technical request data, such as IP addresses, to keep the service secure.
Both act only on our instructions. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for up to two years after our last contact with you. If you become a client, the retention terms in our agreement with you apply instead.
If we contact you about our services and you do not reply, we delete your details 12 months after we last contacted you. If you object, we keep only your name and contact details on our do-not-contact list, so that we never contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. You can also object to direct marketing at any time. This right is absolute, so we stop when you ask. Email enquiries@quigleysystems.co.uk. We reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
